Funny Social Media- Are you a liar too?

Today while reading newspaper I came across this particular Question and Answer in a weekly column intended to teach the readers some life lessons. Let me type what I read as it is-

QUESTION

I see people upload various posts on social media. It always looks lke they are the happiest people. When I scroll down, I get jealous and feel depressed. Please help me overcome this tendancy.

ANSWER

Would it help if I told you that I feel the same way sometimes? We humans always focus on hiding our weaknesses and only portraying our strengths. You can't blame anybody as we're wired that way and it's a survival instinct. But reality bites and everyone has their own set of problems, issues and challenges that they need to deal with. Rather than feeling jealous or low about what others are posting, you need to remember that each one has their own holes to fill. Focus on filling yours by building on your strengths and doing something productive.

So how many of you guys have ever felt low to see the glittering photos and international status updates of those who once were by your side? Personally I had.When you are stagnated and your friends get settled and earning a lot in life, it is natural and instinctive to find yourself down at the bottom. Some say this kind of attitude is bad. But what is so bad in getting envious of something if it can move you further?

I have known a lot of people including my close friends posting status updates on social medias like Facebook to make the world believe that they are prosperous, they are living a great life. They keep on broadcasting their life in a way they want their audience to see them, not in the way they really are. Is it a good gesture to do so in first place? Well, I would say it isn't. You fake yourself and the world. Only one thing will do wonders- BEING YOURSELF!

I had this friend who was my classmate while doing my undergraduation. We parted our ways after finishing our degree exams and we hadn't contacted for long. After two years, while scrolling through the FB feed I saw this guy's photo over there. I stupefied to see the changes happened to him. His looks had completely evolved from what I knew about him. Hereafter, He kept on posting something royal everyday to fuel the effect. After seeing them all I thought myself a dumb that I even felt that my company would bring him big shame. Days gave ways to weeks,weeks to months and months to three big months. I happened to meet this guy now.

I asked about his FB posts and photos thinking that he is well settled. But his reply shattered the picture I had about him for last 3 months in mere one second. Everything he kept on broadcasting were biggest lies. He hadnt lived the life he used to propagate through modern media. Indeed he was jobless and had been pretending to be a rich. I couldn't control my laughter. I laughed my heart out to embarrass him! I wanted to say him that he had fundamentally changed my way of living in last three months, but I couldn't as everything sunk beneath my uncontrollable laughter!

After seeing him posting all those stuffs I had vowed to become as rich as he was. For that I started gathering as much knowledge as possible. I learned the ways to be successful in life and found a lot of advices like It all should begin with changing the very time you wake up daily. I started waking up early, did excercise everyday and read a lot of books, thanks to this jobless dude.

It is good to inform your friends and the world the real person you are. Breaking this basic sense to show yourself something that you are not will actually make you a funny guy and create an outlook as if you are a liar once the truth comes out!
