Google+ is shutting down
Google+ is shutting down for consumers — whatever that means.
It's 10 month to final shut down so I guess it's time to look for alternative — if you haven't done so already.
Of course, if you read this you are already on Steemit and therefore set. If you have a Google+ account now is the time to advertise Steemit on Google+. There are a little less then 400 million users there which need a new account soon.

I think the 400 million "users" are in fact just zombies. No one is going to miss this ;)
Well it's 1.6 billion zombies and 460 million monthly user and 40 million truly active user.

Google has not shadow ban function but it shows deleted postings to there author which creates a similar effect.
So you might run afoul of Edward Morbius who likes to nuke stuff:
For example it seems that he deleted every mentioning of GAB.
Fun fact: He has me blocked so he doesn't see my postings 😂 so my GAB comments are still there. He really sucks as moderator not even knowing that moderators must not block people in order to do there job.

I do see there is a potential problem with mods on a power trip. It's the lack of transparency where we don't know what's going on. OTOH I had a transphobe kick me off a Disqus forum for no reason other than his hatred of trans people, but at least I knew I was not welcome.
Meanwhile it's the potential abuse of power by "whales" that puts me off steemit and the fact I can't work out how to seed my own d-tubes - so they just disappear, block chain or not.
As for Gab, I discovered I was being shadow banned there, so I'm not using them either.

The actual video is not on the blockchain but in IPFS. And it get deleted if it won't get enough upvote to pay for the hosting.
It's not censorship it's capitalism which deleted your dTube videos.
For subscriptions on steemit you might want to try out https://steempeak.com/
I am planning to set up my own IPFS server and then seed my own d-tubes as I don't get many views anyway. My first attempt would hang part way thru the video but I will try using a Linux server next.
I also joined your German G+ alternativen community... but using a private window (not logged in) suggests the same problem of being shadow banned by Google.
