Welcome to week 19 of the SoCal Spotlight!
Each week the SoCal Spotlight highlights five of the awesome posts from #socalsteemit! So, lets dive on in and see what kind of cool stuff the SoCal Steemians have been posting about this week!
Alright if you've been here in SoCal this last week you know the weather has been quite hot, so this week we start off the Spotlight with a post by @artedellavita who was able to stay a bit cooler by hanging out down by the beach!

Up next @creationofcare shows us the process of making her latest "stinkin' badge", the "Rise In Love" badge! From cutting the leather, to carving and stamping the detailed design, to adding the color, she creates a really beautiful piece of custom artwork.

In our third post for this week @derekrichardson pulls out his electric guitar for the Steemit Open Mic contest and takes us back to the 90's grunge days with a cover of "Gotta Get Away" by Offspring!

Our fourth featured post this week is an entry for the 'Golden Hour Photography Contest' by @wfmkay who captured an excellent sunset photo from our beautiful SoCal coastline!

And last but not least let's welcome back @madpotters! She was offline for a little while but she's been keeping busy working on all kinds of really cool projects and she even sold some of her pottery for Steem for the first time!!
