The project was founded by Michael Lee and Kirk Finkel. Working my way through their video I was under the impression that they were architects working some kind of non profit projects … Both Michael and Kirk seem to understand architecture and design.

What I like about what they do is this STEEM Park project. I recently viewed a documentary on Growing Cities and I thought about them when I had a look at this particular project.
So, what is Steem Park all about? …
Steem Park is a public garden designed and funded exclusively through Steemit.com. The park represents a completely new way for community empowered projects and is also a special place within the community neighborhood.
This pilot design project is important because it was 100% funded by cryptocurrency. The physical components of the projects were financed 100% by blogging rewards and engaging with the Steemit community. This project is the first public interest project supported completely by public interest.

What is Sndbox?
In short Sndbox is a Steemit incubator that utilizes blockchain technology to empower impactful and creative projects worldwide.
It’s for creatives, artists, individual practitioners, community leaders, non profits, start ups and collectives. The goal is to help users to earn cryptocurrency via their social media content.
Now to add even more value they offer these meetups and workshops where they will teach people about blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies as an emerging technology and ultimately how to monetize their content making use of these technologies.

Woah, awesome. Being an artist, I feel that this kind of thing is exactly what we need. Steemit by itself is already good but it has attracted so many spammers thinking they'll get rich quick that the silly content often overshadows all the really good quality content. Thanks for sharing!
