SND Summer Camp Challenge Task #2 : Blunder Information About Cyrptocurrency In Indonesia

Talking about cryptocurrency in Indonesia, especially around my friends and community, not Steemit community, is really frustating. Though some of my friends and family invested their money to Bitcoin, but they actually have blunder information about cryptocurrency. They though crypto currency is the same as money that we have today, the differences is only it is online money. Oh My God!!! Most of them do not even know about Steem and SBD, they only know that there is cryptocurrency and its called bitcoin, nothing else.

Information that they have through media mostly come from Indonesian government, which would certainly aligned to government and political purposes. It is normal, though, but the thing is that our government does not have positive outlook toward cryptocurrency. Most of the news are negative impacts about cyrptocurrency, none ever explain what is the purpose of crypto currency, its vision mission, nor about blockchain technology. I do believe some people tried to write the truth about it, but well, I have to admit that we are far away from freedom at the moment.

It is fine if we can not use cyrpto currency for common and daily trade since crypto currency is not currency anyway, it is a bad luck for crypto that have “currency” for its given name. It makes people think that cyrpto currency is an opponent or competitor of currency, and of course this is totally wrong. People who invest their money in crypto currency also treat cyrpto currency like common foreign currency trade, and this is unbelievable for me. I have no idea how people could invest their money to the things they actually know nothing. But well, what can I say?!

I made some papers for business societies and governments to explain more about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, steem and Steemit. I think tey have rights to know the truth and deeper. I use Steem, SBD, and Steemit as a good example that we all can help each other in an easier way. People who invest their money can control their money and can delegate their investment to get more from curations, and help others as well from upvotes. The thing is all has to be tranparent, and this is supposed to good except for corrupts. All the transparancy that I exposed really become a stabbing knife for myself. Really challenging!

About the system and changes toward a better life and future, I am sure they think that I am crazy. Most people are no longer have visions for tomorow and future, just like I wrote on my first writing of this snd box summer camp challenge : https://steemit.com/sndbox/@mariska.lubis/sndbox-summer-camp-steemit-changes-for-a-better-life-and-future-vs-daily-needs-and-easy-money. It is so difficult to find the truth among lies and lies, the truth are not always right, it really depends on all the arguments that happened in social media and written in media. With hyperbolic and drama of situations and conditions, people are lead to believe in nothing, just a tool of games to reach political purposes. This is happening for years and years, only certain people who realize what is going on.

You can see in the social media how people in this world are controlled by certain people only, and this is crazy. There is no democracy at all, what happened actually is what we call “democrazy”. It seems that our life is meant to be stupid, and even educational institutions get involve in this “duping” conspiracy. They treat us like a ball in the soccer field, kick by all the players to reach their goals while all the man behind the game remind seated and enjoy everything to get richer and richer. We as human being, are also too stupid to realize about this, we become a ball head, nothing inside but very hard in the outside. We become to lazy to learn and lost our will to learn more to be wise and understand. All just want to be happy and get easy on everything. That is why I don’t want to have FB, Tweeter, and others, especially after some people took all my accounts for their political purposes. Enough for me.

The most absurd thing is that all are complaining and very loud in critics, but do nothing. There is no consistency is something frightening, afraid not to get money and existence. Just look at how Steemian are still selling bot for votes and buy bot for votes, while they continue talking about angelic things about their fight for tomorrow, how they fight for democracy, against corrupts, and so on. What they are doing could encourage people to bribe and believe that it is ok for personal business justification, and this is what supposed to stopped if we do want to stop all corrupts in this world. It is too naif if they said they don’t know about it, but it is worse if they do really know but still continue doing this terrible things, isn’t it?!

Anyway, another problem that I found is that we can not convert Rupiah to Steem and SBD straight away. Hence, you can see that there is no investors of Steem and SBD from Indonesia, there are some that I know such as @razack-pulo and @dokter-purnama, but they can not invest that much. We need to buy bitcoin first and convert it to Steem and SBD if we want to invest, and of course we need to follow the same process if we want to take Steem and SBD and converted to Rupiah. This is really annoying, we lost a lot, not only for the administrations fee but also for the exchange rate. This problems seems simple but it is psychologically affecting Indonesian trust, they think that steem and SBD are illegal. Hmm, this is hard!

We all know that Indonesia is one of the most populous country in the world and has a huge market for any products. Facebook and Twitter have incredible amount of users in Indonesia, rank 4th in the world. The opportunity to expand cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and Steemit is very promising, but we all need to think the best way to approach the government as well as to explain more about it to Indonesian. Since we can not hope too much to use media and other social medias to spread the news, it really depend on us, here in Steemit and other cyrptocurrency communities to create something, perhaps something like London Cryptocurrency in Jakarta, capital city of Indonesian Republic. Indonesia Steemit Community (KSI) have made a good movement by having the 1st KSI National Meet Up in Bandung, West Java last January.
