Steemit Music League Challenge Season Two | Round One

Season Two of the Steemit Music League begins o weeeeeeeeeee.

Building off of an epic first season of the Beat Battle League and Steemit Music League Challenge, we are so excited to kick off Season Two with the 1st Round of the Steemit Music League Challenge.

The Steemit Music League Challenge is an open music contest for rappers, MCs, singers, vocalists, and producers. Basically if you have a passion for music you can submit an entry every week.

Each week's theme change with the prize pool consisting of STEEM, Voiceshares, and other cryptocurrencies such as SMOKE.

Currently, the Steemit Music League Challenge and the Beat Battle League are the two contests in the Steemit Music League with the Get-A-Record Contest coming soon from @seveaux.

The winner of the Steemit Music League is determined by the amount of points earned through League contests and challenges.

Season One's winner, @beatseb (who is joining us as a judge in Season Two), won a round-trip flight to San Diego, California for his efforts of winning the Steemit Music League through his epic creations in the #smlchallenge and Beat Battle League

This Season Two's final prizes have yet to be determined so would love to hear the community's feedback on what the final prize should be.

This week's theme is:

Spiritual Enlightenment

Spiritual enlightenment is a life long endeavor of obtaining knowledge and raising vibrations.

What better way to help the community obtain knowledge and raise their vibrations then by creating soul lifting, spiritually enlightening music.

Totally up to the vocalists, producers, and musicians of this awesome community.

The power of 432 HZ can be applied to help raise vibrations.

Vocalists and rappers can create enlightening, knowledge-laced entries.

Producers can create that uplifting, vibrations raising music so many options open to you.

Here is some content for inspiration:

All you have to do is submit an original entry based off of the theme of the week using the tag #smlchallenge and/or comment the entry on any SML Challenge posts.

Any type of music passion from singing to producing and everything in between is welcome. We are looking forward to be able to help these Steemians in the music community shine and receive the recognition and feedback they deserve.

You have until Monday night, January 22nd to submit your entries with winners will be announced Tuesday night, January 23rd.

The entries are judged off of the following:

• Sound Quality: does this sound crispy, in speakers and headphones, is there cracking or recording errors? How loud can we play it before you notice quality issues?

• Technicality: what are the skills you displayed in making this entry? The technical aspects of the your craft.

• Creativity & relevance to theme: how unique your entry is. How well it revolves around the theme? O we have never heard that sound or lyrics before? Extra points for artwork and video work related to the entry.

Prize Pool

After giving out roughly 90 SBD/STEEM a week between the Beat Battle & #smlchallenge for all of Season One (for a total of over 1000+ SBD/STEEM), I am adjusting the prize pool a little.

The prize pool is as follows:

FIRST PLACE WINNER: 8 STEEM + 42 Voiceshares for 50 points

SECOND PLACE WINNER: 4 STEEM + 36 Voiceshares for 40 points

THIRD PLACE WINNER: 2 STEEM + 31 Voiceshares for 33 points

FOURTH PLACE WINNER: 1 STEEM + 26 Voiceshares for 27 points

COMMUNITY FAVORITE: 20 Voiceshares for 20 points

The Community Favorite each week will be determined by the amount of upvotes and comments responding to their entries, upvotes on their submission comment, and total community support on post.

Round One Season Two of the Steemit Music League Challenge starts today and will accept submissions until January 22nd night with winners being announced Tuesday night (January 23rd).

The team of @chiefmappster, @danyelk, @beatseb, and @derekmiller are pumped to see what is in store for this week.

Don't forget it helps the judges and the community for you to make a post about your entry, with how you created it, the meaning behind it, how the theme came into play.

It is just another way for us Steemians to get to know you and your message.
