Frozen Rain

I've only been fortunate enough to experience freezing rain a few times in my life. Though it wrecks havoc on the city, for me – each time is a thing of pure magic, especially when followed by brilliant sunshine.
Few things excite my photographic eye quite like the combination of water and light. Add the frozen element, and you get a million, sparkling jewels with facets that catch and reflect, casting miniature rainbows in every direction.

I remember how beautiful our trees looked after freezing rain when we lived in New Hampshire many years ago each part of the branches were encased in ice. It was very interesting to see for someone that had never been in a climate like this before

She looked through the microscope into the diamond. It was real. Unfortunately she now had a new problem. How would they get them across the border, how would they exchange them without getting noticed by the authorities.... Good problems to have I guess.
She looked up from the microscope and looked at her partner. "Authentic. We have to go..."

:O They look like diamonds! You're lucky to not have to deal with freezing rain too often. It happens here every dang year lol. We just had some a couple weeks ago! I was late for work and everything.
BTW.. I'm following you now. I like macrophotography. I need a lens for it.
