Light in the Valley of the Winds: Smartphone photography
The Valley of the Winds walk in Kata Tjuka (the Olgas) served as the inspiration for Hayao Miyazaki's 1984 animated film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. This photo was taken during my recent trip to Uluru-Kata Tjuka National Park.
This is my entry to the smart phone photography contest. The theme of this week's smartphone photography contest hosted by @juliank is light.
Photo taken with my Samsung Galaxy s5.

It's like a sleeping giant about to awaken, as the sun rises slowly (unless it's setting, and there goes my analogy!) I love this part of the country. The distinct colours and light. You've captured it well.
Thanks. Yes, it was about 7 am in the morning when we started the hike. Amazing place.
The rock from a different angle rather than the iconic one? Still pretty impressive :)
This is at the Olgas. One of 56 rock formations there.
