Smartphone Photography - My Favorite Los Angeles Crosswalk
Last year, the city of Los Angeles decided to paint the crosswalks in front of the Disney Concert Hall and the Broad Art Museum in downtown. I'd call it a success. If any place in the city could use a bold, creative and colorful crosswalk, it's right here in front of these two buildings.

It is still painted! I think (or hope) it's permanent.
I saw the contest theme and knew it would be this or that cool crosswalk in Santa Monica. The B&W edit is great! After seeing your post, I don't thing I'll be entering my picture of two dirty white lines :-(

The crosswalk looks pretty nice, but does every car driver recongnize it? ;) I guess in Germany this wouldn't be authorized.
Ha! Yes, drivers recognize it. More importantly, they recognize the traffic lights at the intersection. :)
Those colors make the place so much richer! Great idea, and no wonder it is spotted in funky L.A. :)
I wish more intersections did this!
