I know, I know, I’m a bit late today with my daily post. But it’s not my fault. If you want to blame someone, blame @juliank with his theme for the smartphone photography contest : Leaves…
Leaves… for a city guy like me… all I knew about leaves is… that most of them are green 😊
Anyway, as I want to participate, I had to find some photogenic leaves… and if possible, a bit original. It took me the whole day. My wife almost called 911… seeing me taking pictures in the park obviously chocked her. She kept on asking if everything was allright with me 😊

But I found some!!!! May I present you the Araucaria Araucana. A tree from Chili (I have no idea how it came here in Antwerp) with very photogenic leaves…

The tree is also commonly called the monkey puzzle tree or monkey tail tree… (Yeah, I know… there must be a reason I found him 😉

But looking up like this, I would call him the “Fractal Tree” 😊
