Hiroshima city landscape. Travel photography.

in #smartphonephotography7 years ago (edited)

This photo is from one of my Japanese visits. It is great, that alongside the highways there are places to stop by and enjoy a nice view, and these places are a couple of kilometers from one another(okay, maybe 15-20)!
Here is Hiroshima and the bay. Hiroshima is a big Japanese port and that is one of the reasons to be bombed by the USA. Now there is almost no sign of this bombing, if we don't count many memorial places and museums, which show the disaster and the tragedy in the human's lives after the nuclear attack.

Maybe these events had put an enormous scar on the Japanese' national identity. Maybe it led them to become so hearted and disciplined nation, as we all know them to be nowadays.

I have great respect and admiration for Japan. Despite the disaster and hazard the bombing had on them years back. Japan bounced back and still stand as one of the biggest economy in the world today.
