Chandannagar - Once A French Colony
Chandannagar is a Municipal Town in the District Of Hooghly in the State of West Bengal, India. It was once a French Colony and this particular town's history is older than that of Kolkata. Earlier it used to be called "Farasdanga".

Thnx. Chandannagar is a famous place not only for being a French colony once but it's also famous for its Lighting and Jagadhatri Puja just like Kolkata is worldwide famous for Durga Puja. It's got a French Museum which is only found in India after Puducherry in TamilNadu as it was also a French Colony. Chandannagar as a town is got many historic marvels evn which I am not fully aware of.
