Writing One Post a Day is Hard!! - 365 Day Photo Challenge - Day 9, April 7, 2018
If you are just reading for the first time, I am trying to do a 365 day photo challenge - 1 photo per day for 365 days - on Steemit. So I slacked off and missed my daily post yesterday.. I could write any number of excuses, but the truth is I just didn't make the time. Posting every day is hard! I could have just haphazardly thrown up a photo, but I really want to make sure when I post, I take the time to write a little bit. In my opinion, if you want to be successful on Steemit, or the internet in general, you have to put the effort into the content you put out. On that note, I have a couple really good ideas I am trying to put together, including a contest to give away a webcam to a follower who is putting out great content, so stay tuned! ( I got a free Logitech C922 Pro from tech support that insisted mine was broken... Its not broken, so I decided I would rather give it to a minnow in need, instead of selling it on eBay )
Southern California Beach Sunset
To be honest I have absolutely no idea which beach in southern California this was at. I can't tell if the cliff in the background are Malibu or Palos Verdes. I chose this photo because @photocontests topic of the day is #smartphonephotography and as I scrolled through my phone, I noticed how the shot was only in focus on the subject, and not on the background. Compared to traditional SLR cameras, smart phones can be tricky to get to focus the way you want. This was shot on a Samsung Galaxy S7 and edited in Adobe Lightroom. I can't wait to try a dual-lens camera on a Huawei or the new Galaxy 9 to see if they have better focus, or exposure capabilities.
