SmartCash - A Bottom-Up approachsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #smartcash7 years ago (edited)

I first got involved in SmartCash just a week or so ago. Yet just like so many others it immediately struck a nerve with me. Maybe it was the warm inviting color that they chose to represent them, or the allusion to beehives and how they perform a very critical function in our world.

Although, I don't think it's any of those things. I think what SmartCash has more than anything (and what many other cryptos lack imo) is the openness with which everyone is accepted. There are only a couple of communities like it that I have come across in my months researching the crypto space. By communities like it I mean communities where no proposal is too small or too big. If you want to spread the word through facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. you can be rewarded for that! If you want to start a project to help provide free meals for people in Venezuela, you can do that! If you have no idea about anything crypto and just want to know what you can do, by all means ask anyone in the slack or the forum.

SmartCash is about building the community first and foremost. That is why the forums and the slack are some of the most active I have seen out of any crypto. In my opinion, as the smart community grows we will come across more and more people who all will together provide countless ways for SmartCash to improve. It is my sincere belief that SmartCash can be one of the first projects to ever gain widespread adoption and be a replacement to real currency.

Again this all loops around to having the community. Let me reiterate if I may: SmartCash is the first cryptocurrency (as far as I can see) that is dedicated to building out the community first. Sure the developers are working extremely hard unbeknownst to us on countless new features, improvements, and optimizations. However they never make that the focus of the website, the forum, the slack etc. The focus of all of the above is to make it as easy on newbies as possible. I could go through and list all the usual stats that every crypto has - whats the supply, the inflation, how does mining work, how long will it increase, masternodes?, etc - and I will in a later post, but for now I just want to make this clear for anyone who may be reading this and they have no idea what cryptocurrencies are or what's the point of them...SmartCash is the point of crypocurrencies. It's about having a global community who can all gather and work together to help each other, and having a useful tool such as a common currency throughout the process is simply to make that goal easier to attain.

In my opinion the question to ask is not "How many people will use it?.." because that will kinda make you look more at the numbers, not the people. The real question is "what is the use of it?" As far as I can see (aside from the business-oriented blockchain projects which already have clear-defined use cases) SmartCash is the first to take that question and say "We want to hear what everyone thinks is the answer." That single key difference in approach and attitude is what will separate SmartCash from any other "general-use" project out there. It not only provides a useful tool to help people take better care of their finances, it gives people an opportunity to reach out to fellow humans and show actual, meaningful compassion and care for all members of our species. We've been doing this locally throughout all of history (helping out family and friends is usually an integral part of any humans' life), so isn't it about time we do the same on a global scale?
