HOW TO SIGN UP FOR SMARTCASH WALLET

in #smartcash6 years ago (edited)

Preface

A week ago, I made a post regarding an investment opportunity in smartcash, which is a relatively younger cryptocurrency with some serious potential to its name. However, I realised that signing up procedure and wallet information may not be clear for everyone who might would want to buy and store some of smartcash in their smart wallets. So in this guide, I would lay out the signing up process through the official website of smartcash.

Signing Up Process

  • Go to https://smartcash.cc

  • Click on "Wallets" option as depicted in the picture below
    Screen Shot 2018-04-14 at 11.46.32 PM.png

  • A page will open, which will give you the option to :-

    (a) Go to Web Wallet
    (b) Download Wallet application for multiple platforms (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux and Android)
    (c) Paper Wallet
    (d) Brain Wallet

Screenshots of links to widely used wallets (Web and Platform based) are appended below:-

I do not recommend using paper wallets / brain wallets for common users as losing password to it means permanently losing your funds.

My personal recommendation here is the use of web wallet because of its elaborate design and simplicity. However, use your own due diligence.

  • Click on link of Web Wallet. Alternatively, you can choose to enter the address https://wallet.smartcash.cc in your browser.

  • A screen will appear asking you to provide login credentials. However, since you are making an account for the first time, You would want to click on "Sign up" instead. illustration is given below:-

  • You will be greeted with a warning message to make a copy of your Username, Password and Mastercode since they are irrecoverable in case you lose it. Fill out the form as illustrated below:-

  • Please note that writing of First name, Last name and email address is optional. However, You must provide a unique username and password. Furthermore, you will be provided with an auto generated mastercode that you must copy and paste it in the window below it. (At this point I would recommend saving all of your information offline so that you account is never lost).

  • Check the box "I do accept Terms of use" and hit "Sign".

  • A new browser tab will open that will provide you following message

  • You will realise that smartcash website has also created 03 private keys against your account. If you click on OK, you will be taken to your newly created wallet. If you click on Cancel, You will be redirected to a page where your master code and private keys are written. You can safely copy all that information and paste it on a document page for safekeeping. Illustration is as below:-

  • You can also find your private keys and mastercode on the original tab of browser where you were creating your account.

  • Once Finished, You will be redirected to you newly created Smartcash wallet.

  • You will be provided with 01 Liquid Smartcash wallet and 02 Smart Reward Wallets.

Conclusion

There you go, you have successfully created a smartcash wallet. In my next post (that will hopefully be tomorrow), I will lay out basic guide for each function on the main page of wallet so that general masses can be educated on "how to use the smart wallet" part.

@jbn nice article. Logically presented and easy for anyone to follow. Well done. I previously recommend the paper wallet for its easy of use for long term investors, but now recommend the web wallet especially as you can vote on proposals with the web wallet and be actively involved with the community. It is very complete.

Yess.. i was gonna get to that in next post. Thank you for the kind words.. cheers

Last 7 days smartcash is continuously increased... And its is 33.01%... Really huge ..@jbn

Yes. I did not deduce it from any technical analysis or something. It is because I believe in the project. I have great expectations from this blockchain and I am sure that soon, you will be seeing Smartcash worth 1$ +.. Thank you for the vote of confidence.

Once again very informative post :) i have followed exactly and have created my wallet :)
I like to ask one more question, other than smartcash web wallet, which wallet you recommend for other coin saving like eth, btc or any alt ?

Welcome to the million dollar question.. for ages people have been wondering what is the best wallet to store your crypto and to be honest it is a messy debate.. but i will simplify things for you

If you want extreme security then Ladger Nano S hard wallet is for you. Its a USB device that keep ypur cryptos offline and it comes with builtin encryption.

Alternatively, you can choose to keep your cryptos in respective web wallets. There are applications like “exodus” that keep most of your cryptos on your machine however i dont recommend using it since these are centralized and your data can be compromised.

So web wallets and paper wallets are by far the most comprehensive, secure and free way to store your crypto.

Do not keep cryptos in exchanges as these exchanges are centralized and are prone to hack attacks. Only keep your cryptos there when you want to trade..

I hope this will give you some clarity..

Thank you for detailed reply, I disturb you so much :) Sorry. I agree with you that offline wallets are safest but expensive as well. Do you have recommendation about web wallet? some one told me coinbase is good ?

Haha no problem at all. We are all here to help each other. No?

Coinbase is very good but for now it will only hold your bitcoin , litecoin, bitcoincash and ethereum. Thats it. If you have any other altcoins then coinbase doesn’t support them for now.. i do however recommend spreading your assets to multiple platforms. It will keep you safe from a hack attack. Secondly, these exchanges and services are all running unregulated and a time can come when these facilities may shutdown in future. So spreading your assets will save you from a lot of trouble.

Choose your wallets wisely and keep your funds in there. Regular jumps from wallet to wallet will incur a lot of transaction fees and you may end up losing coins in chunks..

thank you so much :)

If i have read this when i. was still a **smart newbie ** wouldn't have stress my self.
Any one can read and understand this-well i prefer the web wallet though in so. many ways, apart from its easy way of voting for proposals,
its also easier to log in, i vividly remember when the web wallet wasn't yet updated, one can create more addresses like more rewards address or spend, seems i can't find it on this one or is there something I'm missing?

Yup. No more creation of reward addresses. By default, you have been provided with 3 wallets. Liquid smartcash wallet. Reward wallet 1 and reward wallet 2. Thats it. At best you can change the names of these wallets but as per my understanding, you cannot generate more wallets..

yeah, thats what i noticed, back then creation of more wallet is allowed wonder why it was stopped though.

May be people found a way to misuse the feature. Or may be they got feedback from dumb people who created too many wallets and then couldn’t handle it..

Hahahahahahahahh 😁 😁 😁 this one is hilarious, one definitely trigger such. but i love the creation of many addresses in one wallet ☺

Very helpful article about Smartcash wallet. Your step by step description is really helpful. I earnestly waiting for your next tutorial.

Thank you very much. These days i am doing an extensive research on smartcash hence tutorials are mostly of smartcash. Soon i will be redirecting my guns to steem 🧐

Thanks for the well brief and detail post about the sign up procedure of smart cash. Hats off to you @jbn

Thank you brother. Much appreciated
