National Week of Science and Tech in Mexico 2018

Hello Steemians, few days ago the National Week of Science and Technology was held in Mexico where I had the opportunity to participate, I want to thanks to the SmartCash community for the support.

The proposal was voted and approved by SmartCash members, we visited 10 universities throughout Southeast Mexico and we reached more than 3000 students and professors on the educational centers.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each person who voted YES my proposal, and thank all the staff members because without them all this would not have been possible, to carry out this project it was necessary the support and coordination of many people.

In the conferences we showed and explained what cryptocurrencies are and how they work, as well as helping them download their portfolios in which we give them SmartCash tokens so that they can become familiar with their use.

Within the workshops we made several brainstorms, with this the students realize the importance of blockchain and smartcash in the universities. The students can offer products and services and the payment can be with tokens of SmartCash, we thought it was an excellent idea to start using the tokens between them and encourage the use. Several students who own local businesses began to receive payments in Smart, because it seems to them a more accessible option than the banking terminals in which they must handle a minimum of monthly sales in addition to paying fees.

The teachers would like to start other activities and create a more focused courses about Blockchain for students of technology, because, although they are focused on technologies, Blockchain's subject is still unknown to them academically speaking.

At the end of the events we thanked the teachers and the educational authorities for the facilities provided and promised to be in touch for future workshops related to Blockchain technology and SmartCash.
