For what seems like a while this was the first week where we did not have a project that would visit and this means that we had a little more time for general topics.

Our group started out of some enthusiasts that were exited to share trading skills and tips with each other. Then the group grew and we diversified a bit more in to general topics, like ICO's, interesting Alts, new technologies and even a bit of tax and legal (only a little bit, no one likes taxes)

So yesterday we had our usual dynamics:

• average age: mid 30ies (rough estimate)
• 60% return visitors (cool to have a core group)
• 40% new faces (glad to receive new inputs)
• 90% male
• 10% female (we are a big fan of gender equality so come on ladies, join us)

The BTC sentiment:

going around the room with the question on bear or bull for the next couple of weeks the majority was Bearish
Upon questioning the bulls as to their reasoning they just said: "because its about time"
After charting BTC for the last we weeks most of those had also changed their minds.
Long term we are of course all still bullish

(now some stuff to show off how smart I am)
on the chart we apparently seem to be creating an Elliott basic 5 wave sequence but as we can see on the example below that we should potentially get a corrective ABC wave
(did you notice that these are all potential maybe eventualities with different options of succes)
because that is what we are trying to teach. No one can predict the future but you can make educated guesses that will improve the probability of success.

The big thing to notice for the moment is that Consensus did not have any effect on the price what so ever even though the overall news was good (but nothing super spectacular)
The overall volume is really low and that in itself is a bearish sign as well we have to keep in mind.

So if you are coming to our meetup to know what to buy and when to sell it then you have come to the wrong place. If you are here to learn and interact and share then you are very much in the right space.

So in the end we took some guesses (very educated ones) as to where the dollar price would be next week vs BTC.

On another topic

Some of our newer members are 2 engineers from the aeronautical industry and they are trying to create a house ASICS miner. So a machine that can mine bitcoin that you can have in your living room because it does not make as much noise as a nest of hornets living in your couch.

So next week or the week after they will come and present a bit on what they have done so far and give a bit more explanation on mining and how it actually works.

This is a good thing because most of us know it in a general way but there was a lot of interest into diving a bit deeper.
