Today I feel renewed, despite the immense sleeplessness that my system is suffering at the current moment (I’ve practically slept nothing since midday on Tuesday 24th; and I’m actually writing this on the late afternoon of Wednesday 25th, I’m have been going through a very rough insomnia access. If a kind soul knows about a remedy, let me a note on the comments).

Now, the calendar advances as fast as a Pusheen to the Donut (vertiginously!) and I start running in circles, cause the end of July brings 2 important sky phenomena and I haven’t taken my old telescope out of its box yet.

Let’s give a little more of effort to make great this end of month!, and let’s not allow our motivation and moods decay.

The next topic on the 31Witches2prompt list, is the "Harpy Witch".

For this occasion the topic would dance around a Witch with allusive, subtle or very marked features, which would made reference to those mythological beings. Or actually, just drawing an Harpy.

Frankly, drawing mythological creatures has not been a topic that I have explored before, which is why this guideline was very difficult for me to plan.

Originally, the Harpies were known as creatures who love to annoy other living beings, with their whimsical, vengeful nature, and a bit interested, because in exchange for something, they would play the role of a spy in favor of some human or semi-human being.

However, for my Harpy Witch, I only kept the concept that she takes this form only for emergency cases, in order to quickly move away from a dangerous or compromising place or situation, for example: a stranger localizing her Coven.

If I shall give her at least one feature properly related to an Harpy (besides the occasional appearance), I would choose their singing voice, which was supposed to be used when they would be caught, so they could charm anyone who hears them, or to attract an specific objective.

The Longest Lunar Eclipse of the 21st Century, will happen Tomorrow, July 27th!
