A Mural Painting Process: Meat Shop Mural

Waz' good, Steemians! Today, I'll be showing you another episode of Mural Process I made for a Meat Shop, here in my hometown, Tupi, South Cotabato, Philippines.

For those of you who happen to check out my blogs on my profile and saw my cover photo and wondered how I painted it. Well, today is the day that you'll witness how I came up with the design.

A friend of mine came into me and ask if I could make a mural painting for his meat shop. Without hesitating, I accepted his challenge. Designing wasn't really that easy. Though, the obvious representations of meat can be found in his shop, the challenge is how would I make a design that is not too exagerating and could fill the walls on his shop equally.

So I made a sketch, after assessing the walls of the shop.

And then, I came up with these sketches. He was selling Pork meat, beef and chicken. So I had to use these animals and make a design for mural out of them.

THE MATERIALS

All paints used were FLAT WATERBASED LATEX PAINTS

THE PROCESS

Started out primering the walls with FLAT GREY LATEX PAINTS, waited for it to dry, sketched the walls with chalk and prepped up for painting.

COLOR SET

-Grey
-Mild Grey
-Dark Grey

-Pink
-Red
-Sky Blue
-Blue

-White
-Black

After all the colors are mixed. Lemme show you how I didi it.

Filled up all the colors on the design until black was the only one that's left on the menu.
