Raven es, y seguirá siendo, mi personaje preferido de Los Jovenes Titanes (después de Chico Bestia, claro está), pues muestra un aura de misterio bastante agradable - estéticamente hablando –, siendo esta apariencia lo que me motivó a ilustrarle (porque no soy nada superficial). A continuación explico el proceso de la misma.

Raven is, and will continue to be, my favorite character of The Young Titans (after Beast Boy, of course), because it shows a fairly pleasant aura of mystery - aesthetically speaking -, being this appearance what motivated me to illustrate (because I am not nothing superficial). Next I explain the process of it.

1.

• Primeramente inicié por planear la composición, abocetando la misma haciendo uso de la ley de los tercios, de manera que el rostro de Raven se ubicara en uno de los puntos focales. Para ello utilicé el lápiz 2B (Disponible en el menú desplegable de pinceles, en la categoría sketch) con un marrón de tendencia rojiza, con el fin de acreditarle calidez a los elementos
• First I started by planning the composition, sketching and making use of the law of thirds, so that the face of Raven was located in one of the focal points. For this I used the pencil 2B (Available in the drop-down menu of brushes, in the sketch category) with a brown of reddish tendency, in order to accredit warmth to the elements

• Enseguida, utilizando el pincel quick circle big, comencé a aplicar el color propio de cada elemento presente en la composición (el color propio por lo general es el tono medio).
• Then, using the brush quick circle big, I started to apply the own color of each element present in the composition (the own color is usually the middle tone).

• Con el pincel basic wet (Disponible en el menú desplegable de pinceles, en la categoría wet) inicié a aplicar los tonos bajos en el personaje, así como un azul más agrisado en el interior de la capa de Raven, siguiendo con la pincelada las ondas formadas por la brisa, con la finalidad de evocar profundidad como también movimiento. Por otra parte, además difuminé entre sí los colores del cielo y del puente, a este último le pinte la sombra proyectada con el mismo color, pero en tono más bajo.
• With the brush basic wet (Available in the drop-down menu of brushes, in the category wet) I started to apply the tones low on the character, as well as a blue more gray inside the Raven cape, following with the brushstroke the waves formed by the breeze, in order to evoke depth as well as movement. On the other hand, I also diffused the colors of the sky and the bridge between them, to the latter I painted the shadow projected with the same color, but in a lower tone.

• Acá inicia mi parte favorita: aplicar las luces de tendencia naranja, producto del reflejo del cielo sobre los objetos. Para ello continué con el pincel basic wet.
• Here begins my favorite part: apply orange trend lights, product of the reflection of the sky on objects. For this I continued with the basic wet brush.
  
  

5 - 6.

• A continuación Dupliqué la capa de Raven, y esparcí con smudge textured (Disponible en el menú desplegable de pinceles, en la categoría smudge). Asimismo, utilizando eraser soft (Disponible en el menú desplegable de pinceles, en la categoría sketch) suavicé la línea de la capa de Raven, con la intención de que esta se perdiese un poco con el fondo.
• Next I duplicated the Raven layer, and scattered with smudge textured (Available in the brushes drop-down menu, in the smudge category). Also, using eraser soft (Available in the drop-down menu of brushes, in the sketch category) I softened the line of the Raven layer, with the intention that it would be lost a bit with the background.

• En este punto me dediqué a añadir detalles con basic wet: Véase las luces anaranjadas en el puente y más líneas curvas en la capa de Raven. Por otra parte, con el pincel bristles wet (disponible en el menú desplegable de pinceles, en la categoría wet), añadí detalles azulados en la parte más lejana del puente (perspectiva aérea o de color), con el objetivo de, justamente, conseguir lejanía. De igual modo, bajé la opacidad de la línea del puente y del cielo.
• At this point I devoted myself to adding details with basic wet: See the orange lights on the bridge and more curved lines on the Raven layer. On the other hand, with the brush bristles wet (available in the drop-down menu of brushes, in the category wet), I added bluish details in the furthest part of the bridge (aerial perspective or color), with the objective of, precisely, getting remoteness. In the same way, I lowered the opacity of the bridge line and the sky.

• Con el pincel basic wet, comencé a trabajar el cielo, añadiendo rositas, malvas, y naranjas más bajos en las zonas más bajas de las nubes, y azules muy altos en las zonas más altas, dando pinceladas cortas y curvas, emulando la textura de las mismas.
• With the basic wet brush, I began to work the sky, adding roses, mauves, and oranges lower in the lower areas of the clouds, and blue very high in the higher areas, giving short brushstrokes and curves, emulating the texture from the same.

• En este punto noté que era necesario añadir más detalles lumínicos en Raven, mismos que realicé con el pincel basic wet.
• At this point I noticed that it was necessary to add more luminous details in Raven, which I did with the basic brush wet.

• Continuando con el cielo, y con basic wet, comencé a añadirle líneas curvas azules a las nubes, en las zonas más bajas.
• Continuing with the sky, and with basic wet, I started adding blue curved lines to the clouds, in the lower areas.

• Seguidamente, difuminé todos los colores del cielo con basic wet.
• Next, I blew all the colors of the sky with basic wet.

• Y añadí azules y rosas en las zonas en sombra, dando pinceladas un poco más rectas, con basic wet.
• And I added blues and roses in the shadow areas, giving brush strokes a little more straight, with basic wet.
  
  

13.

• Por último, apliqué luces a las nubes, con un naranja muy alto (NO usen blanco), y oculté la capa del boceto del cielo y el puente, con el fin de denotar su lejanía con respecto a Raven.
• Finally, I applied lights to the clouds, with a very high orange (DON'T use white), and hid the layer of the sky sketch and the bridge, in order to denote its distance from Raven.
