The artwork you see here is a concept for Slothicorn's First Art Contest!. It's a logo concept and more: an animation toolkit! Er, we might call this toolkit a "puppet," because it includes a complete package of moveable Slothicorn shapes, e.g. head, wings, arms, claws, body... “The Slothicorn”

In summary, this post is all about introducing the Creative Commons to the world of Steemit, where artists and radicals are already joining forces to: Be the change we wish to see. My belief is that the Creative Commons (with attribution) is a win-win-win, benefiting art originators, art users, and the art audience. As stated in this post:

The Concept

My idea here is a customizable graphic that may be used for any purpose, and modified in any way. As you can see, this creature's arms and legs can take on any posture. Maybe the Slothicorn wants to teach a yoga class. Maybe the Slothicorn wants to teach flying lessons. Maybe the Slothicorn wants to zoom into a burning building and douse the flames with rainbow power. The digital puppet here is bendable, size-adjustable, moveable, shakeable... Feel free to keep this character intact for your creation, or use this draft as inspiration for your own original creation. Slothicorn belongs to no one, and everyone, both. Magic for all!

Position your pieces into any posture you choose, and then merge the shapes to position the outlines in their proper place, as you see above.

Shapes can be refigured in any way you choose. Adjust the rotation, duplicate the wings, resize the head, modify the colors...

Vector editing gives you creative freedom to shift the pieces and make them work for your purposes. Maybe your Slothicorn is holding a sign. Maybe yours is farting out a rainbow!

The Vision

To me, #Steemit is divinely aligned with the arrival of the Creative Age, when we survive and thrive by our creativity. Steemit promotes creative thinking through contests and events such as Slothicorn's First Art Contest, and the Steemit Open Mic, rewarding participants with enthusiastic audience responses, plus other incentives. It's a smart way for creative professionals to find and refine their talents.
