Somebody once said that if slaughterhouses had glass walls everyone would be a vegetarian. Slaughterhouse: The Task of Blood is that glass wall, filmed in a small, family-run abattoir in Oldham, Greater Manchester that is struggling to survive.
The process of meat production is shown in graphic detail - the animals arrive healthy and whole and are then killed, skinned, eviscerated and butchered, but the film is not just about an industrial process, it is also about the men with the sharp knives, the killers and cutters. It's a film about white, working class men. The abattoir and the men who work there have to be seen in the context of the town in which they are located - Oldham was once a cotton town but nothing much gets produced there any more. The town has a large immigrant population, mainly Muslims from India and Pakistan, and Oldham has been the scene of racial disturbances in recent years. The film explores the sometimes shocking attitudes of the abattoir workers towards various subjects, including race and immigration.
The facilities of the abattoir are used by both Jewish and Muslim slaughtermen for kosher and halal killing - their attitudes to work and the world outside contrast with those of the other abattoir workers.
Slaughterhouse is a look inside a world that most of us know nothing about - you might never look at a pork chop in the same way again.

Are you saying that the practitioners of Babylonian voodoo kill animals on higher moral ground than Western followers of Babylonian voodoo? Slaughter is slaughter.
You said, "It's a film about white, working class men" and "the shocking attitudes" of these white, working class men regarding "race and immigration." You describe these white, working class men as "killers and cutters" with "sharp knives," whereas you portray the "Jewish and Muslim slaughtermen" as holy butchers following their religious beliefs. The implication about white, working men is pretty obvious. When it comes to slaughter, none of the naked apes wreaking havoc on this planet have a monopoly on morality--we just have different delusions and an assortment of flimsy justifications for our egregious behavior.

I agree with you, seems like a very biased statement.
This was from the description, I didn't really think much about the religious aspect, I thought what was interesting was that since most people eat meat they shouldn't have a problem looking at how the animal are being prepared.

I thought you weren't allowed to post content that wasn't yours, at least thats what I read. Technically its plagiarism, though you did say it wasn't yours. I have seen other people doing it too though so I don't know.
I believe sharing links to illegal torrents is against tos. While it’s educational you have no right to distribute copywrited materials. Now if you were sharing a legal link to YouTube or something like that this would be a different story. Now it may not be against steemit tos as you are by actually distributing anything but I still think it is bad form.
