Another important thing you need in order to have a lovely cross-country ski trip with kids: STRENGTH
During the cross-country ski trip with kids you are at one point bound to feel like a pack donkey. In addition to carrying extra equipment and gear like shovel, extra clothes, food, snacks, drinks and seat pads, you’ll probably end of carrying or dragging a kid as well. You will also have to lift up a falling kid at least once every minute. Therefore you need STRENGTH.
In this video I’m dragging the 4-year old and walking on my skis backwards. My husband and other two kids are in the back. If you’re wondering what the kid is saying it can be translated to “ Are we going to eat fuel?” as I just told him we´re going to refuel at the top of the hill (meaning buying the kids with chocolate). Chocolate is also my answer to him. Always buy the kids with chocolate or other snacks.
It is also good to have some innovative skills that can come in handy when trying to figure out how to get things going. Bringing an extra rope can be helpful in many situations, at least help for a minute here and there.

In my next post I'll tell you about the last few things you need for a lovely day in the snow.

Hei Helen!
Det er helt riktig at en veldig viktig ting å ta med seg i skisporet med ungene er både styrke, tålmodighet (og sjokolade) :)
Fine bilder og videoer av det som ser ut til å ha vært en fin tur!
PS! Du har en ny følger :)
Hei Svein, tusen takk for hyggelig melding og for at du følger. Det var absolutt en hyggelig tur til tross for strabasene.
PS: Nå følger jeg deg også :)
Tommel opp! :)
