The philosophy I try to portray (although I probably fail miserably at this at times) is, the universe may very well be infinite, and if it is finite, it is still more vast and intricate than the human mind can comprehend. No matter how much I know, no matter how much knowledge we collect as a species, I, we, will still always know next to nothing. It also helps to remember most people went through thousands of hours of government indoctrination, so not only what we think we know, what we think is possible, but also the way we perceive the world and the events around us, is likely skewed by that indoctrination. Cultivate humility.
