Skateboarding basic tricks: The Kickflip and The Heelflip
Good day to all Steemit users!!
After learning how to ride, turn, control and ollie your skateboard, the next tricks to learn are the flip tricks. Flip tricks are the skate tricks that would take a lot of time to learn because of its difficulty and technical movement of the body. the introduction to flip tricks is the kickflip and the heelflip. these two are the foundation of all flip tricks one can ever learn.
I learned how to kickflip in the Antipolo plaza spot. I did not get any tutorial from youtube(would have been convenient) as this was back in 2005 and in the Philippines not everyone has access to internet back then. I learned it while watching some other skaters in the area who can do it and playing back skate videos again and again to see the movement of the feet. I just observe and to be honest, nobody was teaching me because everyone was trying to figure it out for themselves too. Every time I skated, I practiced it and eventually land it after months of trying. For heelflip, it was easier to learn. My friend Nachor taught me one night and as I remember, I learned it faster than kickflips. Although heelflips came easier to learn, I am not really proud of my heelflips. it is not as good as my friends'.
To this day, kicklfip and heelflip is just dialed in me. every time I skate I always do some flat ground kicklfips and heelflips. I love doing it. Now flip tricks are getting more and more progressive, sometimes crazy next level progressive, but the Kickflip and Heelflip will always be kings!
Here are some of the photographs of me and my Friends doing kicklfips and Heelflips. hope you like it!
Below kickflip photo edit, this was taken at the "Chambers" spot in Abu Dhabi city.

And finally, my only decent heelflip photo, as I mentioned, I am not really proud of my heelflips! haha.
