in #sixweekhealth7 years ago

Have you taken a bold step to be healthy and fit?. Have you decided to take better care of your body?. Have you joined the Six Week Health Challenge?. If your answer to all this is "YES" then, you are perfectly on the right track, but if it is "No" all I can say is that you need to take a u-turn and join the rollercoaster to wellness and fitness.

ON THE SIX WEEK HEALTH CHALLENGE THIS WEEK HOSTED BY @healthsquared and sponsored by @sweetsssj we will be talking about healthy desserts that are low in sugar and perfect for individuals with sweet tooth.

I decided to come with my favorite recipe which is easy to prepare and highly nutritious.

Why do I think that fruit desserts are the best?
The reason is simply this, fruits contain natural sugar which are not harmful to the body and also can be taken by individuals with sweet tooth and diabetes alike. So who says you can't enjoy the sweetness of life as much as you want to?

MANGO ICE CREAM FOR YOU
I would be taking you on the step by step process of making your mango ice cream so I encourage you to grab a pen and notebook as you read on.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Get two fully ripe mango. I insist on it being 'FULLY RIPE' because it affects the consistency of the ice cream.

  2. Get a small cup of yogurt(preferably Greek Yogurt

  3. You would also need a small cup of natural honey.

  4. Half piece of lemon would also be required.

  5. A blender

PROCEDURE

Wash your mangos and bring all of the mentioned ingredients to your kitchen table
First cut your mango into fine pieces and freeze for one to two hours.
When you have frozen your mango then you can start making the ice cream.

You should put the Greek yogurt into the blender first as this helps to make blending smooth.

The honey follows next. Try to use natural honey as much as possible.

Press in juice from the half slice of lime. The lime gives the ice cream a kinky taste.

Now you can put in the frozen mango cubes and blend

Use a spatula to push in the mango when needed

Blend till you get a smooth consistency. But remember not to blend for too long.

Now you can put the smooth mixture into an already chilled pan.

You can serve directly if you want to but it is best you chill it for a while longer.

There you have it. Your nice and healthy dessert.
