What actually gives Bitcoin Value is the Energy used to Create it...
So, as the Cost of the Energy needed for each New Coin goes up, so does the Value of all the others before it...
On the Reverse side of the Coin, as the Cost of the Energy needed for each New Coin goes "down," so does the Value of all the others before it...
It's actually very Cleaver...

If you save up $10 in Electronic Coinage, you can Exchange it for 10 "Tenth Ounce" $1 Silver Coins, or a "Tenth Ounce" $10 U.S. Gold Coin...
If you save up $100 in Electronic Coinage, you can Exchange it for 10 "One Ounce" $10 Silver Coins, or a "One Ounce" $100 U.S. Gold Coin...
Banks will be required to have a Minimum Amount of Silver and Gold Coinage on hand to "back" the New Electronic Banking Systems, "Electronic Coinage"...
There will be Four Silver Coins, ranging from $1 to $10...
There will be Four Gold Coins, ranging from $10 to $100...
Hold on tight...
Another New Kid in Town will be "Paper Coinage"...
Paper Coinage will be Dispensed at your Local Bank or your Favorite ATM's...
The Current Paper Fiat USD's will be "removed and replaced" by our New "Paper Cents"...
Paper Coinage will Range from One Cent to One Hundred Cents, and will look very similar to what we're currently using...
The Big Difference is that they will be 100% backed by our Silver and Gold Coinage, instead of the Current Fiat USD's, which are only backed by Debt...
The Value of our New and Improved Currencies will be in their Corrected "Face Values" and "Spending Powers"...
Anyway...
I personally don't think Bitcoin stands a chance in Hell against U.S. Electronic Coinage...

Bitcoin/crypto allows transfer of value without trust or third party approval. Today the dollar is mostly digital for all intents and purposes. The problem with the dollar is that it is a debt instrument that does not provide for a means of paying the interest with out the creation of more debt. It is by nature confiscatory of labor and buying power. Bitcon is by its nature deflationary and may be replaced by some other systems that are faster, lower cost, and more available for the common people. In my opinion Bitcon/crypto is a hedge against a major failure of the current fiat systems in the world today. If we the people force the issue then we may get to a commodity backed system and that would stop the wealth transfer/war funding that our fiat currency system today enables. But the powers behind the current fait system will not go quietly.
