Origin and personality

Stemesh is a villainous god, or to be more correct, WAS a villainous god. He/She/It is the result of a failed laboratory experiment on DNA splicing in another (far more technologically advanced) universe. The experiment changed the cellular composition of Stemesh forever, allowing his body to adapt and evolve by eating the flesh of his foes. 

Stemesh went on a killing spree, pulverizing hero and villain alike, taking all their powers for himself. He gained so much power that he came to be revered as a deity in several galaxies across the universe, but that didn’t stop him from wanting more. His greed eventually led to his downfall as a group of heroes defeated him and banished him out of his universe. 

Stemesh doesn’t remember any of those events, doesn’t remember the fact that he was a god or that he could alter the very laws of the universe, his powers are sealed and all he feels is a hunger within… This hunger has led him to eat the creatures all around him, granting him immense power once again, the capability of shape shifting and an incredible resilience amongst others… but the hunger just keeps increasing, and with every foe he discovers his mind evolving; can he be stopped before it’s too late?

Equipment or unique items

Stemesh doesn't carry much with him, it's extraordinary abilites allow him to create anything he could need from his own body, though he is usually dressed according to the environment around him.

Abilities

Ability 1 Full shapeshifting: A powerful ability allowing Stemesh to transform either fully or partially into those he's eaten once, or to use their abilities as their own.

Ability 2 Extreme conditioning: Stemesh has adapted to the point he can live in any environment and is unaffected by poisons, toxins or others, instead powering up when affected by them.

Ability 3 Mind over matter: While much of Stemesh's power is lost and forgotten, when faced by a crisis he may subconsciously activate one of his incredible powers of the past... bending time and space... if only for a brief time.

Weakness

Stemesh needs to feed, he's powerful, but he can only use other powers spending calories, the greater the power or the transformation, the greater the cost... as such, he's constantly eating... gaining new powers and replenishing calories in the process.

Stemesh is only as powerful as those who it's eaten, currently it's shapeshifting capabilities and mind powers are very far from even normal heroes, and as such, he needs to avoid direct confrontation with them, instead relying on imagination and deceit.

Other notes

When using Stemesh, one should thing of a highly intelligent creature, and a hunter, similar to Alien vs. Predator, he can't face the predators face to face, and instead uses intelligence and wits. However, as he eats more and more, he becomes more powerful, and the amount of calories needed to activate lesser skills should diminish accordingly.
