Shorebreak Sessions #2: South Terrigal Water-Photography session
Good afternoon hombres!
Yesterday i managed to snag a few hours down by the beach before it got a bit stormy and windy. Thankfully the swell was big enough to wrap all the way around the south end of the bay right next to the break wall, and i was more than grateful to take the opportunity to layer up and head out to take some photos.
Session details:
Location: South Terrigal Beach
Time: 4.30pm
Camera: GoPro Hero 3+ Black
Mode: Burst 30/1secs (Protune both off & on)
1 Some of my favorite surf edits are of people surfing murky brown waters around New York/New Jersey. Admittedly its not as cold over this way but the water can still churn up sand banks to give it the same colour! Of course I love the clarity of ocean blue water only equally as much as the lack of it in this - she doesnt have to look pretty to be beautiful :)
2 My personal pick of the session. Really stoked to capture the setting sunlight sneak between the trees just as the sky started to drop into a deep nightly blue
3 One of the earlier pics with protune set to off. Originally i wasnt a fan of the slight blur on the crest of the wave, but ive become accustom to it and think it highlights the speed and movement
4 Like lightning (its frighting)
Thanks to mother natures for providing this time around. I havent been in the water the last few weeks because of an MCL injury to my knee (thankfully no tear, just a heavy sprain), and its been painful to walk on so i thought maybe id wait just a little bit to be thrown around in the clutches of a shore dump. Grateful to say it all lined up just as i was feeling well enough to put on the wetsuit!
Good pictures.
Thanks man!
