The girl from the subway

Source

Jack decided to get up very early to be the first to appear at his job interview. And to make sure to get there faster, he decided to take the subway to get downtown.

He wore a white shirt and a black tie that matched his pants. The 6am subway had not arrived yet. There was only one person waiting on the platform. It was a girl, with prominent curves for what he could see at first sight. A brunette girl wearing some folders and a purse.

When he got to where she was, he remembered the first rule to talk to the girls:

"Do not spend more than 3 seconds without saying anything, in the first contact", so he hastened to say:

"Good morning"

She turned and said:

"Good day"

For a moment, Jack was speechless, she had the most impressive blue eyes he had ever seen.

After remembering how to breathe. Jack, he smiled quickly.

She returned the smile.

Jack’s heart was struck at that moment.

"Job interview?" She asked.

"I know women have a sixth sense for things, but this girl must have a magic wand hidden in her purse", Jack thought.

"Yes, can you tell?", Finally answered Jack.

"You look good. Do you have your résumé? ", The girl asked again.

"My what?" Jack asked, while in his mind, he floated into the blue sea of the girl's eyes.

"Your résumé", the girl said again, but Jack was still in his trance.

"It was a pleasure... good luck in your interview", said the girl with the smile that painted Jack's world of pink.

Suddenly, he came back to himself with the pushes of the people who entered and left the subway.

"THE RESUME!!!!", Jack exclaimed loudly.

He had forgotten his résumé. He started running to his house again.

Back on the subway, he had lost 30 minutes having forgotten his résumé. In his mind, he remembered the subway girl. Thirty minutes, later, made a huge difference. The number of people in the subway was exorbitant. It took almost 15 more minutes to take a another subway.

When he arrives at his station. He hurried to get off the subway and running toward the interview place.

The reception room was full of aspirants to do the job he wanted. In the background was a girl sitting at a desk receiving people's résumés.

Jack hurried to deliver his.

The secretary took all the résumés and indicated that only 15 people would be interviewed that same day.

The others should return the next day.

For Jack's luck, he was among those who had to return the next day.

But her heart jumped as he remembered that he would see the subway girl again... Probably.

The next day, Jack got up very early. This time he decided to take an extra copy of his résumé to avoid setbacks.

He hurried to the subway station.

However, the girl was not on the platform. Hopeless, he decided to wait for the subway. Nevertheless, it was not long when the subway lights appeared indicating their arrival.

Once subway car doors opened. He entered and sat down. At that time, there were few people who got on the subway.

The sound of the warning beep for subway car doors was on, indicating that they were going to close. Surprisingly, he could see in the distance, the girl running towards the subway car.

The doors closed and Jack stayed with his hand resting on the window glass, while slowly accelerating the subway to continue their journey, they did not stop seeing each other from both sides.

She bit her bottom lip, expressing her displeasure at being late.

However, Jack realized something: she always took the subway every morning.

"So that was what she was doing early morning every day", he told to himself.

Jack arrived on time for his interview, but his mind was still lost in the memory of the subway girl's eyes.

Finally, upon completing their interview they told him:

"Your résumé is promising. On Monday, you will be called in case you were selected"

Jack thanked the interviewer for his compliments and left.

He could not take the subway girl out of his mind. So he decided to go back to the subway station early the next day to see whether he would meet the girl again.

The next morning, after showering, he wore her best perfume and went to the subway station very early.

He waited and waited. The platform began to fill with people waiting for the arrival of the subway.

Hopeless because he did not meet the girl, he decided to return home; however, the people behind him began to push him when they saw the subway arrive.

"DO NOT PUSH!", Yelled Jack, as he watched the subway arrive.

Jack tried to get out of the commotion, suddenly he could see the girl across the tide of people who were between them. He waved the girl.

The girl, finally, saw Jack fighting against the flood of people who wanted to enter the subway car. However, the desperation of the people to enter the car and the sound of alarm of the doors, made Jack enter the subway car by force.

Downhearted, he decided to run to the bottom of the subway car and lean on the side of door window.

Fortunatelly, a nice smile was painted from the other subway car. Life returned to Jack’s face. His eyes lit up.

The girl shouted at him, waving her hands to get his attention:

"IN THE NEXT STATION, TRY TO ENTER THIS CAR!!!"

Jack with a smile from ear to ear, raised his two thumbs up in approval.

Jack was crossing the road to the front door of the subway car among the people, requesting permission politely. Finally he came close enough to leave at the moment the doors opened.

He hurried to get into the other car, meanwhile, the girl also headed towards the subway car doors.

Jack stopped to see her at the subway entrance for a second, however, people began to push him into the subway. Likewise, the girl was pushed out by people inside the subway car. Facing each other, getting closer. Both bodies tightened on each other, forced by the number of people trying to enter the subway.

Finally, they were inside the wagon, gathered, one body next to the other.

"Who says that in this country people is not a united? Someone who has never been on the subway!", said Jack.

The girl's laughter was music to Jack's ears.

"Hello! I'm Jack", finally introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you, I’m Samantha", replied the girl.

Samantha, that name would be engraved in Jack's heart forever ...
