I hope you're right. Because the economist sand pinstripe guys are telling us that everything you do for and with others is reciprocal. You just help someone move, because you might need his help in the future; you just give money to a beggar, to buy yourself a letter of indulgence; yaddah, yaddah, yaddah…
I think business people don't understand that sharing can be something more than just closing a deal, because it's hard for them to understand the concept of non-zero-sum-game. It's had to understand for everyone: There will never be more cake, just because you share it with others. But having a party and eating the cake together might make it so much more enjoyable that one piece of cake is better than the whole cake eaten alone.
I hear you, I was working in the nonprofit sector and even they get greedy.
I am in agreement. Sharing brings more positivity, energy and syncronicity to our community. A musical example is when bandmates work together. When it clicks, the vibes and music can reach unbelievable levels and frontiers.
Once I rose above the noise and confusion,

I don't know what I'm doing tomorrow aside from selling the rest of my stuff and starting up a vehicle. Maybe I'll go build a tiny house in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

It's all in the mindset of how we approach our day. We all have trials and things to overcome throughout our journey, but I have faith in myself and you and everyone else. We got this!
Sage advice level post. Sharing is in my nature but repeatedly I wind up getting screwed over hardcore because I have blinders on. The receiving part is hard for some of us because we have been burnt so much we always think the person is going to damage or use us or strings attached.
Just remember that you can't be used or taken advantage of if you don't have expectations.
Breaking down those expectations on the other hand is a whole can of worms that I have been doing here for months :/
