In this contest; I need to tell about my favorite public holiday in my country, give some information on why and how we celebrate it.

So, I'm going to talk about the New Year of Bangladesh which we call as "Pohela Boishakh".

The main objective for this public holiday is Fair happens in different places. I'm gonna show a photo from last year of Pohela Boishakh.

This is a view from the fair of Pahela Boishakh which I took on our last Bengali New Year. From there; anyone can buy handmade things at a cheaper price. Various foods and drinks can be bought from there. This was the fair from Jahangir Nagar University.

We normally celebrate this day from the beginning till late night. Like the whole world celebrate New Year; we also celebrate our own Bengali New Year. It's the first day of 1st month of Bengali Calendar. We rise early in the morning on that day; eat hilsha fish with wet rice and green chilies which is also a part of the celebration. We roam the whole day with friends and family and yeah it's a public holiday. I with everyone in this country like this day for it's festive look. Students from various varsity art different kinds of things on the roads. Various function takes place in various places in that day which is another awesome part of this day.
