What To Do With The Chayote Fruits?
The prickly chayote plant is dying at warp speed. Most of the fruits he's carrying are not ready to be harvested. Such a shame... I'm searching onine, trying to find out if I can take off the fruits and let them ripen indoors, like you do with tomatoes, but so far, no luck... 😞
I need a solution soon, because most vines are barely alive and I don't want the fruits to go to waste. All tips are more than welcome ... 🌱⚠️💡

Pluck the chayote together with the branch and leave it on the floor until it gets ripened.
Thanks for the tip.

What a pretty picture! I didn't know chayote had those sweet prickles. Are they actually pretty pokey? Beyond knowing Chayote is delicious, i am afraid i can not help unfortunately. I was introduced to this veggie when i was in Costa Rica. It was made into tiny cubes and cooked into a delicious milky broth. It was so good!! I wonder if @sallybeth23 has any secret tips on 5his plant that might help you. She's so passionate about gardening. Best Luck to You!!
This is the prickly variety, which is more suitable go gvfow in our Belgian climate

Kill it before it hatches.
The photograph is beautiful, it would be unfortunate if so succulent fruit was lost. I hope you have been able to recover and enjoy it. A hug @simplymike
Thanks. I hope to find a way to save them before it is too
Great photoraph @simplymike. I've never heard of a prickly chayote plant. Are you growing it inside or outside?

But before I can do that, I need to find a way to ripen them
