Stone Story Time In No Particular Order
Ancient texts messages icons and glyphs.
My flashlight and stones on the water made
for some cool shapes above the dolmen a
crescent and some chevrons.
🔺 Shadow Entry Above
Around midnight Alaska time by the
standing stone shadows. In a ancient 1960's
rusty wheelbarrow. Yep well used, she's seen
many rocks and oak leaves over the years.
They don't make them like that anymore.
Using that as a base to fill with stones and
water, it has a couple holes so I had to be
fast! Set up some of my favorite stones in
the ancient fashion. Got the flashlight out
and snapped some shadows.
Dolmens, long barrows, standing stones and
megaliths surround the planet. Constructed
5 to 10 thousand or more years ago.
Why create such wonders to last so long
and what are they for.
They can mark more than just time, a vast
amount of knowledge. I'm no expert but I did
stay in a few caves before lol
Where we are in space and time, a map.
They are navigational markers, calendars
and clocks. Geometry and math. I really like
geometry and am no good with math. But
what these ancient sites have is loads of
math and geometry going on!
Opps human quake knocked some of them over!
These ancient structures found around the
world calculate the ticking off of arc minutes,
the sun, moon and stars. Measure distances
and such. When to sail or not, secret
knowledge of the navigators.
The Great Year, movement of precession, 25
thousand years around the 12 zodiac signs,
coming full circle. About 2000 years a zodiac
constellation, tic tock.
Hills, towers, mounds and notches, old and
new, its all the same, nothing new under
the sun.
Little rock clock, direction finder.
Pisces the fish is about done with, onward
to Aquarius the water bearer. Its pouring
down rain as I type, April showers bring May
flowers. Happy spring northern hemisphere!

Wondering which came first. The idea to set out to build a dolmen in the wheelbarrow, or making shadows and saying, that looks like a domen.... I could do a very interesting post about it! Thanks so much for entering this!
After reading your awesome comment @melinda010100
My first real thought was ''Geometry came first'' ⊕
First thought was how can I make something
ancient! My love of ancient rock structures
and the learning what they were for has
been a long big ongoing hunt over the years.
Back tract rocks are my first love 💎 :-)
Then came the water shadow factor! Looking
around there is no sun, no puddles close by
like there was last week. Times ticking and
that was what it was all about lol
Next thoughts were Moms old wheelbarrow,
which as a kid I also used a lot and still do hehe
It's rusted bottom reminded me of the caves
with ancient art and those colors. And it would
hold some water for a few snaps. Had to do this
on the deck outside as it leaks! Otherwise I keep
this antique in the house with a big potted bamboo
in it, the bamboo also from her. 🌿
Not only a nice photo contest entry, but a nice informative entry also. With the past cloudy days, and lakes still frozen, and the inlet waters to rough, I think you did a really nice job, and taking the pictures at midnight, soon the sun, (as part of our seasonal progression), will still be up, and can get some Midnight Shadows by Sunlight. (I just read my last line, before hitting the enter button, and that sounds like a song title and a band - Midnight Shadows, by Sunlight, I like it when I crack myself up).
Thank you very much @bashadow!
LOL don't ya just love when you crack
yourself up hehe
