My friend's pullover becomes my daughter's / お友達のトレーナーを子ども用に作り替えました

I visited a friend of mine this week. She was into fashion before but she doesn't wear some clothes any more after she became a mama. I understand this ... ;)

I had chance to see her clothes pile and brought some back as a souvenir. As she is a sewing fan too, we talked about remodeling a pullover for my daughter.

I broke the pullover apart and cut out parts for my daughter's pullover.

I'm happy to see my daughter liked it and the pullover now has a new life.

We don't always have to buy fabric to sew an item. We can use existing but not being worn clothes as a source of fabric :)

先日おしゃれなお友達を訪ねた時に、着ないので処分したいという洋服を見せてもらいました。母になる、カジュアルなドイツに移住すると・・・こうなるのわかります。

お友達は洋裁友達でもあるのですが、写真のトレーナーが出てきて、これうちの子ども用に作り変えたらいいんじゃないかという話になりました。もらって帰って来てさっそく子ども用に作り変えてみました。

なかなかよい感じで、子どもも気に入っています。おしゃれなお友達のお下がりというのもうれしいらしい。私は来なくなった洋服が生き返ったのもとてもうれしいです。

洋服を作るというと、新しく生地を買って作ることをまず考えますが、ドイツは生地が高いのもありそうそうじゃんじゃんは買えず、着物の仕立て直しのように洋服も着なくなったものをうまく作り直して長く生地を利用していけるといいなと思います。
