Pocket is a tipping token that runs on the Steemit blockchain, but can also be used outside of that. It is tradeable on Bitshares (BTS) exchange and can be transferred in & out of Steemit.
Smart Media Pockets will come to exist very soon and holders of pocket will essentially become holders of the smart media pockets also. It's very intricate, but all necessary info/links are included within my recent smart media pockets post, but you can find a great deal of info from @biophil, @heroic15397 & @jackmiller's feed. You have them in your own 'bank' which is on Steemit blockchain. It doesn't show up as SBD or STEEM because it's an alternate token itself. pocketsend:number@username

You can give them out, sell them, trade them for votes (new feature), send them to Bitshares and sell them on the open exchange, or just hold them. SMT's are to be launched very soon, so just having them is being part of that very, very early. Lots to come very soon, so I am trying to put a little pocket in as many pockets as I can.
