Seriously? - "We're not buying from you."
Customer: "Hi pete, I need some help please?"
Me: "Sure, how can I help?"
Customer: "We need to buy a maintenance kit for our printer and I'm struggling to fined the right one."
Me: "Are you looking to buy that through us?"
Customer: "Well, no, but I'm on our suppliers website and I can't seem to find the right one."
Me: "Umm? Any supplier worth their salt should be able to advise you. I suggest ringing them."
Customer: "Oh, so I should ring them then should I?"
Me: "Well yes, given you'll be buying from them and not us."
Customer: "OK, I'll give them a ring then."
You just can't make this stuff up! Who in their right mind thinks it's OK to ring up one supplier and ask for advice on what to buy from a competitor?
