Milford Cemetry
Milford Cemetry
Happy Saturday everyone and as it is Saturday time for a Sepia Saturday post for the challenge hosted by @old-guy-photos.
This is a challenge I enjoy joining I love how Sepia Images have a sort of timeless feel to them, that said I seldom did Sepia till this challenge started, but now I try and make it a regular thing for my Saturday morning post, and with how I do love colorful images and share a lot of them, it makes a nice change on my feed.
For this post I decided to share a few shots in one of the Cemeteries here in Milford that I thought were fitting in Sepia with the age of some of the headstones, and so this is also a post for the Cemetry photo challenge hosted by @melinda010100.
Starting with this headstone for Mary Baldwin who passed away in 1843, I always find it sad and touching when I see headstones damaged like this.

And here we have a memorial in better condition, and with such lovely detail on it

And this one from 1868 and still looking in very good condition to me

And another headstone in pretty good condition

And finishing off with perhaps the most eye-catching and touching memorials in the Cemetery The monument for Nathan A. Baldwin which I will share more shots of in a future post.

And that’s all folks

Looks like some nice, old stones in that cemetary, too. Pretty ornate, too! Nice shots.
Ohh yes it is so interesting, I always wonder the stories of some of the people laid to rest in the old ones especially

Quite a difference between Mary Baldwin and Nathan Baldwin's grave markers! These all look good in sepia. Thanks for thinking of #cemeteryphotos
Ohh yes the Same sirname but such different condition, it did make me ponder what the relationship between them may be.
I have done a few loop walks recently that take me through this cemetery so I will have more posts for it ;)
There is a stone in our local Cemetery very similar to the one in your second photo. The one here is made of metal and is still in perfect condition after many years.
There is quite a mix here a lot of stone but there are a few metal ones as well
