Honoring self. & why it’s important.

What does it mean to honor yourself? By looking at the definition of honor we can see it’s, honesty, fairness, or integrity in one's beliefs and actions. And we already know this. However, when we apply it to self that’s when things seem to get a little hazy. We can have a difficult time deciphering if we’re truly honoring ourselves. Or we can try extremely hard to bury our true feelings in hopes they never again emerge to painfully remind us of the raw truth we know deep in our hearts and souls.

If you’ve ever denied your own truth, then you know how gut-wrenchingly painful it can be whenever your reminded of it. Whether it’s something someone said, a quote you read, or an unshakeably unsettling feeling. It could be enough to send you into a full-blown panic. That anxiety bares unspoken weight upon us smothering our happiness & joy, blocking our own light from shinning outward, In essence, blocking our gift to the world and everyone in it. It takes an enourmous toll. We end up either blocking it out & burying it until we’re entirely consumed by our own lies & actually start believing there’s no issue. Or we blame our unhappiness on other people, places & things which sets up an emotional roller coaster ride.

There is a better way. Loving & honoring ourselves. It’s hard to put into words the magic that happens when we consciously decide to love & honor ourselves. It’s almost as if a switch is flipped and everything starts to suddenly work in our favor. The feelings of freedom & lightness follow. You notice yourself speaking more gently & you're naturally more drawn to the present. Eating healthfully becomes natural. Gratitude, & compassion are now more present. Stress feels virtually eliminated. Your walking on a cloud.

What does honoring yourself mean to you?
Is it ending a relationship that is no longer serving you? Is it listening to your hearts longings to change your course of direction in life? No matter what it May be, you are truly deserving of it & your heart & soul long for those desires because it’s of your purpose here on earth.

Many live in fear, paralyzed & unable to make changes. Fear is ego based and will never bring anything good into our lives. It only robs us of our true potential & the gifts we can give to others. The reality is, there’s always help available to us when we start honoring ourself. It’s that magical switch that gets flipped when you become in alignment with your true self. That’s when the law of attraction really starts to apply.

Have faith that everything in this life that happens is happening for us and not to us. Know that within all our struggles there are gifts. Trust the process. Honor your thoughts & feelings. Trust yourself & listen to the little whispers of your heart & soul for they know the way.
it is only after we choose to honor ourselves that we can begin to align with our greatest potential. We have free will to choose how we wish to experience this life. The power is within you & it’s always been within you. You just need to tap into it, and you can do so by honoring yourself.
