Restricted internet in Central Asia and South Korea

This topic is kinda a hot issue today, and recently I have a discussion with my friends about it as well. So, I decided to share it with you.
With internet development and invention of new online network programmes, platforms, devices etc, our life became more comfortable, interesting, global. We have Steemit now haha. But despite on all these advantages, internet development brings some disadvantages too. In some countries there are some restrictions on internet use.
In some countries it is impossible to use torrent sites, or some sites with free movies and music. I have a friend who paid a penalty because he downloaded a movie for free. But today I will tell you another stories and examples from my life.
Let me tell you a short pre-story. I had a chance to learn about life in Central Asian countries. I familiar with culture, economics, politics and lifestyle there. Why I am telling it to you? Because that is related to the internet situation there. Of course, there is internet and Wi-Fi, maybe the speed is not so fast and maybe the price of the internet is also not so low, but still these parts of the world has access to internet.
Central Asian countries still have some problems related to the freedom to express opinion. And that lead to the lack of use of internet. Every time when in facebook, Instagram, twitter or any other website online appears negative post about government, leading parties, or even some famous people etc that pages get blocked. Or people who posted it or shared could be even arrested. Therefore, in Central Asia government permits to post in internet only positive info and news. There shouldn’t be any discussion or talks against the government.
On other side, in South Korea people are free to express their opinion and thoughts offline and online. But recently, that became and issue too. Many people comment posts, news, photos of famous people. And these comments are not always kind. A couple of weeks ago, these rude comments leaded to the suicide of one of Korean famous actress. Maybe you have heard about that scandal. Her name is Sulli and she is pretty famous in South Korea. She played the main roles in different Korean movies and dramas, also she was filmed in some TV shows. She was just about 25 years old, and her life was finished because she couldn’t go through bullying comments in her SNS page.
And that is not a first case. Therefore, people and politics discuss how to solve that issue. Some of the websites implemented a bot system, which doesn’t allow to post bad words, phrases etc. It also blocks searching keywords related to the negative news or scandals about pop-stars or even politicians.
By looking on the internet restrictions in different countries, we can see the problems of the society in these countries. In Central Asia people’s right and freedom to express their opinion and thoughts are not really legal, they are legal only on the paper but not in the reality.
In South Korea and some other Asian countries internet is too opened and people use it in a bad way which negatively influences other people, and sometimes even lead to the death.
