There are a lot of ways to achieve something in your life. One has to put some sort of effort to get some reward or an outcome. However, sometimes people don't know where to start and where to go from there. Most of people have heard about goal setting, taking actions and doing the right thing, but there are some other factors that can contribute towards success. Three of those are planning, anticipation and focus.

Number 1 is the planning.

There is a famous saying that goes like this

"Every battle is won or lost before it's ever fought"

What does it mean? Basically, it means that proper planning is more important than the actual action i.e preliminaries are more important than we think. You will have to put far less effort in achieving something that has been properly planned. Take, strategy games for instance, without proper planning and haphazardly playing the game, you end up losing it. On the other hand if you take a moment to think about the situation and all the factors that are involved in the success you can easily win the game.

Number 2 is anticipation. Anticipate here has two aspects. One is to think about all the hindrances we might face in our journey, and thus contemplate ways to overcome them. And the other is to anticipate and to visualize the success. Both are equally important because one prepares you to deal with the negative circumstance that might (or might not) arise. Whereas, the other one motivates you to achieve your goals.

Number 3 is focus. Focus is actual action or the part where you are involved in doing something. It can be anything that is doable. The idea here is to do the action part with full concentration and without distraction.
