Is 2FA the only solution to a secured trading exchange?

In recent times we have witnessed the rise of crypto currencies and how many folks have turned into millionaires through their wise decisions of holding and investing in the right coins, recently, we see steem mooning and sbd being bullish turning many wise steemians into millionaire holders especially those in habit of powering up their steem .

Furthermore, we have read and seeing how hackers with phishing links has turned a supposedly rich guy into a poor starter with little or nothing of all his hard earned investment, which is evident in the resent phishing hack of Etherdelta! a decentralized trading platform for Ether and Ethereum-based tokens hosting so many new and some established tokens with little or no security!.

Why is the hack possible,? Ether delta claims to be a decentralized trading entity where a user is responsible for his/her own security and if any hack or loss of log in private key, the person is left on their own with little or no support or help.
However, we have other exchanges or trading platforms like bittrex, poloniex, Hitbtc, Idex, Mercatox, Coinexchange etc providing more security especially ensuring users activate 2FA.

What then is 2FA?

Two-factor authentication (2FA), often referred to as two-step verification, is a security process in which the user provides two authentication factors to verify they are who they say they are.

Once 2FA is activated, be rest assured of a more secure trading platform which is necessary to avoid risk due to phishing links and issues with hackers. So ensure you only deal with trading platforms with 2FA auth activated.

Do we need 2FA in steemit? On a personal note, I have asked many steemit witnesses & experienced tech guys same questions and since we are seeing steem and sbd mooning and the steem blockchain rising fast with many subscribers, we may see high rate of hackers activities targeting unsuspecting individuals and many more DDos attacks from haters. However, the good news for those who power up is that in steemit, you have a window of one week to be able to power down and cash out! So, safeguard your investments by powering up.

However, with all these increased hackers activities, do we need more security for steemians and is it possible to implement 2FA?
