Sith happens. What lawful interest the Thai government has beyond their territorial border, absent some security threat, is not clear. Since the seasteaders have no military or political force backing them up, they may have little recourse at law, or otherwise, to prevent and respond to these depredations. Let's hope there is some significant pushback against this move by authoritarian regimes to expand their power to stomp on freedom outside their border.
