Freshest seafood you could find in Thailand

I am sooooo excited to write this post! I went to Pattaya a few days ago and got grilled squid on screwers close to Pattaya walking street. The seller recommended I go to this local seafood market if I’d like to try very fresh and reasonable priced seafood and yes! There I went just yesterday and I LOVED IT! SO MUCH! ❤

A friend and I started from wandering around the market and see what we would like to eat the most. So so much to choose from and really, it’s all fresh. They’re still alive!

Seafood : Shrimps, prawns, crabs, lobster, fish, oyster, cockles, mussels, scallops, stingrays, horseshoe crab and the list goes on.. Larn Po Market is probably one of my most favourite spots so far in Pattaya.

Really, WHAT A DREAM for people who love sea, sand, sun and seafood ! After you enjoy shopping for the fresh products, walk out from the market then you see the grilling stands where you can have whatever you buy grilled for such a reasonable price (They charge per kg). You could also buy seafood sauce separately.

HOW MUCH ?

We got half a kilogram of shrimps (140 baht), a horseshoe crab (280 baht) and a set of oyster (150 baht) and went to this stall right in front of the market called ‘Mae Chian Seafood’ to have our stuff grilled.

We’re charged 20 baht to grill shrimps / 100 baht to grill a horseshoe crab + spicy salad for it / 20 baht for mat rental to go on a beautiful garden picnic by the beach.

CONCLUSION : The whole set we got here 710 baht = 20 USD

I am positive that this is one of the place you could get the freshest seafood in Pattaya or even in Thailand, especially, when you go early in the morning. Yes, what you see here is our BREAKFAST 😀

In Thailand, we love to eat seafood with this specific sauce tasts sour and spicy.. as you can see. Most of the time it’s made of lime juice, chili, and garlic. Other than this, just their own secret recipes, you never know.

To get around Pattaya, renting a scooter is highly recommended. So much fun and also excited since Thai police are ready to stop you in every corner. Make sure you have a driver licence (International one).
