LaPhroaig An CUAN Mor Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review
Good shit!
This stuff is an interesting expression from the folks at LaPhroaig, matured in ex-bourbon barrels from the states and European oak casks.
It has a big, broad taste while retaining the signature smoke and character of the LaPhroaig we all know and love.
The name An Cuan Mor means "big ocean" in Gaelic, and is a fitting title for this Scotch. Sea salt and a big, broad apricot raisin sweetness make it an interesting and unique whisky. It actually reminds me of a more flavorful and sophisticated Suntory Rare Old Super.
Let's nose it!
Traditional LaPhroaig iodine, peat, and smoke, with a new sweetness to it.
Mouth.
Bittersweet apricots, vanilla, raisins and sea salt. A light smoke and beautiful flavor integration.
Finish.
Smoke and oak oils with vanilla and raisins lingering for just a brief moment.
Rating 4/ 5 ✨
An all-around great whisky and unique expression from the LaPhroaig family. Give 'er a shot! You won't be disappointed!

Would be excited to read your review if you did! I kind of consider you the whisky 先生 Sensei on here man!
Haha wow, whisky Sensei, that's a first! Doumo arigatou gozaimasu.
I don't drink so this is lost on me, but I know that Laphroaig is very popular with single malt enthusiasts in Boston where I come from.
