Has Technology Actually Made Us Grow?

in #science6 years ago

With the introduction of technology and machines worldwide to complete complicated task in easier and faster means, we say we are growing with the new age that works almost globally but the question is are we really growing ? How much change has it made to impact humanity? Machines and technical devices may have been created with good intentions to reduce stress but they have also been the major cause of death among us.

Countries today are rated either develop or developing based on their advancement in technology, when we go further to investigate what those advancement in technology are, we discover they are related to building weapons and defense. This is technology but the same weapons are use to introduce the act of killing human, the same technology in the act of making work fast and easier rendered some people jobless, chemicals used in industries in processing and the fumes expel from heavy machines has also introduce different disease , the same technology are harsh to human mistake and have contributed to the greater percent of Lazy people who are inconvenient with man power

No doubt technology has made life easy and interesting But it has also led to destruction of life and keeps bringing problems one way and another. To give an example, cellular cell phone though good has increased the rate of crime and how much money we spend trying to maintain them. Motorcycle and cars though good aside the cost of maintenance, it has led to several cases of accidents, ATM and banking operating system though good have made many people loss their job since their services was no longer needed.

Have the world actually become great or has it grown when pain and grief is what the system brings? Technology has only solved few problems whereby more problems is what it creates. This age can't be compare with the past decade, everything has being modernized and restructured but it has made some race superior over others.

The so called civilized world has created more problems and has affected our culture and lifestyle, it has made us forgotten where we came from and who we are and have made us abducted a strange custom. Are we really growing? Let's not define growth by the elusion of our technological age , let's define growth by moral and impact for humanity

I am of the school of thought that believe technology has done more good than harm to the society. Let's not base our argument on just the moral aspect even before the Advent on technology in the times past, there has always been moral decadence in the world maybe not as much as it is now but it had always existed. Technoloy has made life easy. It is provided solutions to so many problems and answered so many questions our for father's had no answer to.

You wouldn't want to go back to the Stone age would you? Let me ask you? Can you survive without a phone? Much less electricity or medical attention.

Lolz. Not when I know it merit. have you ever realized the more the technology, the more problems arisen? The building of something new give birth to a new problem for the society to face. With this two-way system can we rate us as growing?

everything has positive and negative sides, but I think it's up to people to decide how to use it, so it's more about our consciousness development, and we all have to keep in mind with greater power comes greater responsibility. Technology is the tool, I think the problem comes when we evolve technically too fast and we don't have enough time to predict how these technologies can change the world around us in positive and in a negative ways. Although these problems of people losing their jobs are old, we had them since the Industrial Revolution. Another important point we have more than 7 billion people on this planet, this planet will not be able to sustain so many people without technologies, we had less than billion people before Industrial Revolution.

I so much believe you, like I can't believe you less. You said it all and thanks for the beautiful thought but then can you rate us as growing?
