Black beetles in the morning

in #science8 years ago

Hallo steemian's so bright these days the weather where I live, returned today'll post some macro photos of black beetle, he is the winner of all the beetles which I take to steemit today.

not a lot I have to tell you, according to wikipedia, beetles are a group of insects that make up the order Coleoptera / koʊliːɒptərə /. The word "coleoptera" is derived from the Ancient Greek language κολεός, Koleos, and πτερόν, pteron, that if both together meaning "sheathed wing", as most beetles have two pairs of wings. Couples who are in front of the wings called elytra. Couple these wings harden and thicken to protect the couple wings behind him and also protects the back of the beetle's body.

Order Coleoptera have more species than any orders, covering almost 25% of all known forms of animal life. Approximately forty percent of all insect species have terdeskripsi are beetles (about 400,000 species and new species are often found. Famili most major taxonomic, Curculionidae, also included in this Order.

The spread of the beetle is very broad. Beetles can be found in all major habitats, except in the oceans and polar regions. They interact with the ecosystem in a variety of ways. Some species of beetle is a producer of detritus, by destroying the tissues of animals and plants die, scavengers certain types, and feed on garbage. Some species feed on fungi. Some species are flower and fruit eaters. There are also species that are parasites or parasitoids. Several other species are predators for other invertebrates. Many species of predator beetle is an important pest control agriculture. For example, in the family Coccinellidae beetles that prey on aphids, scale insects, thrips, and other plant-sucking insects that can cause damage to crops.

Conversely, some beetle species are prey for a variety of invertebrates and vertebrates, including insects, fish, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Beetles are generally not a serious pest, but they include industrial and agricultural pests, such as the Colorado potato beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata, Anthonomus grandis cotton beetles, red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum, and cowpea beetle Callosobruchus maculatus. Also included death-watch beetles, larvae can cause serious damage to the building by way of gnawing wood.

In order Coleoptera species are generally characterized by their exoskeletons and hard front wings (elytra). This elytra distinguish beetles from most other insect species, except for a few species of Hemiptera. Beetle exoskeleton consists of a lot of plates called sclerites, separated by a thin seam. This design creates a beetle defense while maintaining flexibility. General anatomical beetle fairly uniform, although specific organs and appendages can vary greatly in appearance and function among many families in this Order. Like all insects, the beetle's body is divided into three parts: head, chest (thorax) and abdomen (abdomen).Text Source

Discussion of insects is a scientific topic, I think #science is appropriate. Is this the most scientific of posts? No, but I don't see anything wrong with giving it that tag. Thanks for looking out for the integrity of the tags man!

how do you know if I am wrong in making the tag. I think you are taking care of the affairs of people, you try to examine and re-read the white paper is available at steemit.
So thanks for you @bullionstackers

Isn't entomology a science? As a careful reader of all articles posted in the science category, I do not think that the 'science' tag is a mistag for this post. Maybe could you develop further why you think this is a mistag?

@safar01: I additionally do not think that @bullionstackers is taking care of the affairs of the others. He/she is trying to help improving Steemit, and a correct tagging of the posts is part of this. He/she is pointing a possible mistag with your post, and it is enough to answer him/her you don't agree :)

@lemouth
I see you are writing about science, don't start complaining when all the #beetles starts showing up there, I can actually divert the traffic there. Brilliant mr scientist. I make sure I am keeping your quote. Beetle is science.

I was never complaining about anything.

Now, what is going on here? You have a post, with some text and information, plus a photography. Therefore, it fits, in my opinion.

This contrasts with your counterexample where there is almost no text.

EDIT: I have never said that 'beetle was science'. I asked instead the question: 'isn't entomology a science?'.

The word #entomology is not in the context by safar.
Practical , the science tag shouldn't be use.
Doesn't matter with lot of words or not; the word entomology must be mention to science related.

But isn't entomology the science that studies insects? Isn't an insect the topic of this post?

Maybe I'm not very adept at explaining science. I guess my post about insects has been little study of the science of insects. why I tag science? because I am here to discuss about the insects that fall into katagory biology and not #etomologi. so thanks to all of you who have had discussions. @lemouth and @bullionstackers
Important: I was a freelance photography enthusiast about science, I always provide content in the form of photography and text.

don't worry, it is fine to tag it as #science, at least in my opinion ;)

LOL for @bullionstackers. He's always like this I see...

It is fine as soon as we can discuss. We don't have all to agree with everything (otherwise, life would be boring). :)

Lol all you want. I am staying out from you all.
Dont say I need give any support, as you all are too clever for yourself.

I think we need new methods to teach others here, the way that people are not hurt because of us.

Nothing clever here, everything is learned.

I give you some example:

"Nice post guys, but I think you lack the appropriate tag, better yet if you use tag ... bla bla bla ..."

I think other people would not be hurt by a sentence like that.
Thanks, keep steem on comrade!

beautiful beetle, hehe
