Cave Paintings of Bhimbetka

All these following photographs are of "cave paintings" of Bhimbetka rock shelters. These rock shelters are an archaeological location in Madhy Pradesh, India. In this archaeological site It exhibits the earliest evidences of human life on the Indian subcontinent and also evidences of Pre-stone & Stone Age starting at this site. There are over 750 rock shelters found in this site. Archaeologists has already proved that a few rock shelters were used by Homo erectus as their home more than 100,000 years ago. Some of the rock shelters feature prehistoric cave paintings and the earliest are about 30,000 years old. To know more you may visit Wikipedia
