About the meaning of words

It is considered to be that the meaning of the word is primary, because basically it has something significant. We are always looking for the origin of the word, as a rule we find events or objects pointing to it. But let me disagree with that. I think that nevertheless our consciousness is primary, in particular, the informative filling of our brain, which determines the meaning of the word. Not only words, our whole world is a collection of only our perceptions, impressions and memories. You would think that the world exists objectively and independently of us. But existence itself does not make the world definite. Only in our brain this world is as we see it. So with the words. Only we ourselves can determine the meaning of words. The words appear in our minds, we give them meaning. Without us, they simply do not exist. We are the meaning of words.
