Kepler-90, a Solar System very much like Earth's

At the end of 2017, NASA surprised the scientific community with a discovery that promised to raise many unknown questions about finding life in other solar systems, Kepler-90 specifically. A solar system very much like Earth's.

Kepler-90 would be composed of eight planets like ours that are grouped at a similar distance to the planets neighboring Earth. It has been possible to verify that it is the planetary system more similar to ours, as much by the number of planets (it only has one less), as by grouping to a distance similar to those that orbit around the Sun.

The planet Kepler-90i, closest to its star, is a rocky planet that orbits its star once every 14.4 days and is so close to it that its average surface temperature is believed to exceed 425 degrees Celsius, that is, a temperature similar to that which exists in Mercury.

The outermost planet in this solar system is called Kepler-90h, which orbits at a distance from its star similar to that separating the Earth from the Sun. This solar system promises to hold many answers in a short time as NASA and the scientific community have claimed that it's one of the solar systems most likely to hold life due to its close resemblance to our solar system.
